It is official… MSC Cruises is, for the first time bringing one of its luxury cruise ships to Australia, music to the ears of the ever-growing number of cruise fans.
On song for what will be an historic visit, the stylish and contemporary MSC Orchestra from the MSC Cruises 12-strong fleet will embark on a 33-night Grand Voyage from Dubai to Australia calling in on a number of fascinating Asian ports before continuing to Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle.
The voyage – between February 21 and March 26, 2015 – will visit 13 ports in eight different countries with ample time for passengers to enjoy and experience the cruise ship’s impressive restaurants, bars and various other facilities as well as the range of activities during the sea days.
“I am thrilled to be bringing MSC Orchestra to Australian waters,” said Lynne Clarke, managing director of MSC Cruises Australia and New Zealand. “And I will be equally excited for our loyal passengers, to have the chance to see the cruise ship in their home waters.”
During the first part of the voyage, MSC Orchestra will call in on the contrasting Indian ports of Mumbai and Cochin before cruising for the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo. She will then visit Thailand’s popular holiday isle of Phuket followed by calls on Malaysia’s romantic Langkawi and the vibrant city of Singapore for an overnight stay.
Lush Benoa, on the Indonesian island of Bali, will be the ship’s final stop in Asia before she heads to Cairns to begin a partial circumnavigation of the Australian coast.
“MSC Orchestra will have an extended stay in Sydney allowing the passengers ample time to tour, shop and even see the Blue Mountains on an excursion,” said Lynne.
