Jetset Travelworld Group (JTG) has re-branded to Helloworld Limited, reflecting the company’s ongoing business transformation and new collective identity.
The new group name – supported by a 95 percent majority shareholder vote – will come into effect next week, from Monday 2 December 2013.
During the company’s Annual General Meeting, chairman Tom Dery said trading results and investment to implement the business’ long term strategy was in line with expectations.
Operating costs for FY2013 were 10 percent lower than the previous year, while earnings before tax rose 8 percent year-on-year to reach AU$54.6 million.
Helloworld Ltd plan to consolidate marketing spend to capture a greater share of voice in the retail marketplace, while enhancing growth opportunities through digital distribution.
“With any transformation, there’s always early adopters – people that get it straight away, people that are up for a change and embrace it immediately,” Helloworld Ltd chief executive Rob Gurney told media at the launch of the brand’s concept store in Melbourne earlier this month.
“We have a segmented offering… we’re not a one-size-fits-all business; we have a fully branded model, a co-branded associate model and affiliate relationships.”
