US Carnival passengers could be stars

As part of its image recovery, Carnival Cruise Lines in the US has announced that passengers will star in a series of television ads.

Speaking a press briefing on the newly refurbished Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Cruise Lines’ President and CEO Gerry Cahill said that it had been a rough year for Carnival, with the ad campaign launching in the US in September, featuring passengers describing why they like cruising with Carnival and what the company means to them. 

Carnival's Jim Berra added that the ad campaign was a radical departure from Carnival's usual emphasis on humor and poking fun, with instead, passengers talking about their relationship with Carnival and what the brand means to them.
