No passengers were injured when
the aircraft landed at Chicago.
An American Airlines (AA) passenger plane blew two tyres upon landing in Chicago from Reno.
Two tyres on the left main landing gear of the AA Boeing 737 ruptured when the flight landed at Chicago’s O-Hare International Airport earlier this week, Reuters reported.
The pilot of AA flight 810 from Reno, Nevada to Chicago noticed a possible flat tyre just after the aircraft landed, according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) spokesperson Tony Molinaro.
Passengers were evacuated from the plane with a portable staircase and no-one was injured.
Maintenance staff changed the tyres and the plane returned to service following safety checks.
