Kristen Swanson has just received an early Christmas present, and all she did was take a photo and post it online.
Taking a girls break away from Hobart, Kristen and her sister’s winning photo in Noosa National Park attracted 260 votes as the most popular image on the nature trail.
Not only enjoying the National Park, Kristen loved the peace and tranquillity at Treetops in Montville and watching the confectionary made at Candy Addictions. She will put the winning money towards Christmas gifts and another holiday on the Sunshine Coast, so she can visit Australia Zoo next time.
With over 800 million Facebook users, the old saying ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ has never been more significant than now, which is why SCDL has developed on online marketing strategy involving photo sharing.
SCDL CEO Steve Cooper said, “People love to share photos on social media sites. This competition encourages members of the public to start exploring the Sunshine Coast by going out on one of our experience trails and show us your activities by uploading images of the experience.
“Simply upload photos to Facebook and tell us where it is on the Sunshine Coast. Entries can be taken along any of our live experience trails. The entrant with the most votes wins $1000.”
The Nature Trail and Attractions Trail can be accessed online, while future trails include Coastal Fun, Food and Wine, Arts and Culture, and Markets. The Trails are designed to showcase the array of exciting experiences visitors can enjoy on the Sunshine Coast.
