In response to the grounding of Air Australia fleet, Allianz Global Assistance has confirmed its support for travel insurance customers who are impacted by this event.
For travel insurance policies purchased on or before 16 February 2012 Allianz Global Assistance will provide cover for reasonable expenses associated with accommodation and travel related costs for those travellers impacted by the Air Australia collapse.
For customers who have not yet departed, Allianz Global Assistance recommends travellers contact their travel agent or travel provider regarding the best and most cost effective option for altering or cancelling their trip. There may be options available with other airline providers.
