Easing the stress in travel, San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has unveiled the first of its kind Yoga Room in the Airport’s Terminal 2.
Including the room in the airport’s renovation of Terminal 2, Airport director John L Martin said the room was part of the airport’s dedication to providing travellers with the “opportunity and space to relax and decompress”.
“When we began to remodel Terminal 2, one of our goals was not just to bring the glamour back to air travel, but to also make the entire experience less stressful and more enjoyable,” Mr Martin explained in an online statement.
The new Yoga Room is located close to security checkpoint as well as sitting adjacent to the Recompose Area and according to designer Melissa Mizell, will offer travellers new experiences.
“The Yoga Room gives modern travellers a space that fosters and supports quiet and reflection,” Ms Mizell added.
“Those aren’t emotions that people typically encounter at the airport.”To locate the room holiday-makers merely need to keep a look-out for the pictogram positioned in the lotus position.
