The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is proudly continuing its program to make the earth greener. Under the banner of its ‘Care for Community’ initiative, associates from the resort’s Jakarta Sales Office recently paid a visit to a local elementary school, SDN 06 Pagi – Karet, to donate a selection of plants.

The Westin’s team, led by Business Development Director – Mrs.Naomi Sihombing, was welcomed to the school by the Head Mistress, Mrs. Sopan Diana, along with teachers and an enthusiastic group of students. A brief ceremony took place to officially present the plants as well as racks and a set of watering cans. Then it was time for the planting to get underway and the children were eager to participate in an effort to re-green their school grounds.

Care for Community by The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is a ‘green’ initiative that is just one of many of Starwood’s Care agendas. Having successfully achieved Green Globe Benchmarked Silver status, the resort remains committed to operating to the world’s highest environmental standards.
“The visit to the school in Jakarta was an appropriate end of year activity for our Sales Team that will make a small difference to the lives of local children. By introducing this concept to youngsters from an early age we hope that they will understand the importance of environment awareness. With change we can all make the earth a greener place to be,” says Mr. Bipan Kapur, General Manager of the resort.

Being the only Westin branded property in Indonesia since December 2003, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali enjoys a prime beachfront location in the exclusive Nusa Dua enclave on Bali’s southern tip with 334 cosy rooms complete with the re-known Heavenly® bed; a place where you can be at your best and experience total renewal.
